Venue: Liverpool Town Hall
Date: Thursday, 21 March 2013
Addresses: 2PM to 5PM
We are delighted to announce that the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Councillor Sharon Sullivan has invited us to hold JCI Liverpool’s launch event at Liverpool Town Hall. The event is being organised in collaboration with HSBC and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and will include sessions aimed at helping local professionals and businesses.
JCI Liverpool is part of Junior Chamber International (JCI), a global network of young professionals, present in more than 100 countries with almost 200,000 members across the world. JCI’s mission is “to provide development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change”.
JCI Liverpool (previously known as Liverpool Junior Chamber of Commerce) was established in 1931, and played an important part in Liverpool’s history. One of JCI Liverpool’s most important projects was the first Liverpool Lord Mayor’s Parade in 1972, which became an important annual event, and ran for almost 40 years. JCI Liverpool was disbanded in 1993, and has now been re-launched under the leadership of a dynamic management team of young professionals in the city.
You are warmly invited to join us for addresses by the following guest speakers:
– The Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Councillor Sharon Sullivan.
– Senator Philip Cavalier-Lumley, Marketing Director of JCI UK (our parent organisation).
– Senator Ossie Omar, who was President of JCI Liverpool in 1991.
– Gerrard Gibbons, CEO at the Liverpool City Central BID.
– Andy Jones, Business Banking Manager for Liverpool Area at HSBC.
– Representatives from the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Refreshments will be provided.
Please RSVP by emailing email@example.com as soon as possible to confirm your place and be registered on the guest list.
The 60 minute “JCI Liverpool Public Speaking event” is being held on 28th February from 5.10pm, and will provide the opportunity for five budding Public Speakers to come along and deliver a 5 minute speech and to receive some valuable feedback. The event is open to both members and non-members, and is not restricted to those who attended the training event in January.
