On 26 June, JCI Liverpool will host a fringe event as part of ACCELERATE 2013, Britain’s first annual festival dedicated to high-growth businesses.  The  event  will  give  some  of  our members the opportunity to team up with business leaders to prepare and deliver presentations, with  the  aim  to  inspire,  motivate  and  give  practical  advice  and  guidance  to  entrepreneurs  and professionals in today’s business world. The event is organised in collaboration with Hill Dickinson, HSBC and ICAEW. Refreshments will be provided at 5.30PM. Registration for the event is free:

“Why Liverpool is the right place for professionals/entrepreneurs”, by:

Mr Ian McCarthy, Programme Director at Liverpool Vision. Ian is  currently supporting  the  attraction of  investment  to  the Mayor  of  Liverpool’s  Development Zones and  is  the Festival Director  for the UK’s  International Festival For Business which will be hosted in Liverpool in June & July 2014.

Peter Sharpe, Member of JCI Liverpool and Bid Manager at Tender Management.

“Unlocking your potential, achieving your goals and increasing your performance”, by:

John Haynes, Founder of the International Coaching Academy and the principle coach on all ICA courses. He has been in the business of people development for over 30 years.

Michelle Fellowes, Training & Personal Development Director at JCI Liverpool and Founder of Ambitious Change.


“Stress control for personal enhancement (SCOPE)”, by:

Dr Harish Chandra, Founder of CIS.  His workshop SCOPE has benefited thousands of participants worldwide.  He has delivered workshops at various international platforms for a wide array of audience, including corporate bodies like Ford, Time Warner and Johnson & Johnson, and Educational Departments.

“Using social media for your business”, by:

Patrick  Trollope,  Founder  of  the  Mersey  Reporter  Group,  which  includes  a  free news site  that covers news  relevant  to  the Merseyside area and an email bulletin service  which  delivers  material  to  supplement  the  popular  weekly  online newspaper.

JCI Liverpool were invited to visit a multi-national force made up of six Nato vessels ahead of a major training exercise. The five foreign navy warships and one command ship were at Liverpool’s cruise terminal, and JCI Liverpool’s Kai and Ania (together with the commanding officers in the photo above) visisted them by invitation of the German Honourary Consul, Ulrich Pfeiffer.

Lord Mayor

JCI Liverpool were invited to the Lord Mayor’s Charity Ball. There was fancy dress (gangsters) and JCI Liverpool’s Philip and Ossie (together with the Lord Mayor in the photo above) attended the Ball on our behalf.


Thank you all for attending the launch of JCI Liverpool’s first “epic” night out last Saturday, which was organised together with the Epic Night Group. We hope to see you at the next one too.
